Letting Go Will Bring You to Your Dreams!

I sit and listen.  So many people call me and message me crying out  "Why? Why are these things happening to me?  Why are the gods against me?  Why is it so hard?"  I try to calm them with simple words and simple explanations  Try to help them recenter and find that place of peace inside.  Deep in my mind I wonder why they cannot see how they fight so against themselves.  My Goddess tells me that I cannot help them if they refuse to help themselves, but I hate the despair and agony in their voices, and so I try to help them see.

Why do we fight against our own growth?  Sometimes it is because we fear change.  Sometimes we are unwilling to accept our own problems.  Sometimes we simply don't have enough faith in ourselves. I have people come to me fighting with every part of themselves   I hold them as they cry, I give them an ear to speak into, and I hold their hand as they seek to get their footing.  Sometimes, we only need that one person to whisper "It's ok.  You can do it.  I have faith in you!"  Then we can stand strong, take that next step, and trust that we can do it.

We cannot move forward until we deal with that which is harming us, even if that thing is ourselves.  It is not an easy thing to grow.  There are growing pains, even in spiritual growth.  Those can end up being the most painful we will ever go through.  It is true, we can sit back and stay where it is safe and comfortable.  But if we want to truly become the most we can be, we have to take that journey even knowing it's not an easy path.

But when you learn to stop fighting and accept where you are going, oh the wonders that can be unveiled for you!  Such beauty!  Such treasures!  And the amazing thing is that all you have ever wished for can come true!  This is a lesson I learned the hard way.  I spent so many years fighting to keep in my safe little spot in the river,  even when the water was rising and flowing faster,  I still fought to stay.  Once I was dislodged, I fought even harder to get back.  Oh the pains I had & the difficulties I survived!  But one day, just an otherwise ordinary day, I let go. I decided it was time to trust.  Trust myself,  the universe, and the gods.  I just... let go.

Now that I have I can see all that I was missing.  I understand that you have to let go finally and trust completely.  But once you do, you can see all the possibilities  You can steer yourself towards things you want in your life.  You want that job?  That new home? That life partner or mate?  Steer for it and you will get it. You just have to let go and trust the gods and the universe to steer you true.
